Dr. Boyd Haley, Ph.D.

is Emeritus Professor of Chemistry/Biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center.

Dr. Haley received his M.S. in Chemistry at the University of Idaho and his Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry at Washington State University. He was an NIH Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Physiology, Yale University Medical School. His first academic appointment was at the University of Wyoming.

In 1985, he was appointed professor in the College of Pharmacy and in the Department of Biochemistry by the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center, serving as Chair of this department from 1996 to 2005.

In the past 23 years Dr. Haley has emphasized studies on the biochemistry of Alzheimer’s disease. His research in the biochemical aberrancies in Alzheimer’s disease also lead to his identifying mercury toxicity as a major exacerbating factor, perhaps even a causal factor for this disease. He was one of the first to propose that the organic-mercury preservative (Thimerosal) in vaccines was the most likely toxic agent involved in Gulf War Syndrome and autism related disorders.

Dr. Haley has testified before government agencies at the federal and state levels on the effects of mercury toxicity from dental amalgams and vaccines, including the Congressional Committee on Government Reform, to Surgeon Generals at the Pentagon, and the Institute of Medicine. His testimony has resulted legislation in several states to remove Thimerosal and mercury from dental and vaccine products.

Dr. Haley has been invited to present lectures on the subject of mercury toxicity and neurological diseases at national and international conferences in the United States, England, Scotland, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Australia, Sweden, France, Germany, New Zealand, Mexico and Denmark.

Dr. Paul Offit, MD

is the Maurice R. Hilleman Professor of Vaccinology and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is also the Chief of the Division of Infectious Disease and Director of the Vaccine Information Center at the Children‘s Hospital of Philadelphia. He is also a member of the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.

He has written several books and over 140 articles on vaccine issues. He is also co-author of the fifth edition of the medical textbook, Vaccines, together with vaccine developers and medical doctors, Walter Orenstein and Stanley Plotkin.

As a leading proponent of mandatory vaccinations, Dr. Offit has appeared over the ABC, PBS, CNN, NPR, and Pacifica networks, and has written pieces for the New York Times, New York Post, Boston Globe, Wall Street Journal, Salon.com, and the Associated Press.
Offit is author of several books, including Vaccinated: One Man's Quest to Defeat the World's Deadliest Diseases (2007); Autism's False Prophets: Bad Science, Risky Medicine (2008); and Deadly Choices: How the Anti-vaccine Movement Threatens Us All (2012).

Offit is one of the developers of a vaccine against diarrhea called Rotateq. He is reported to have received a profit of approximately 46 million dollars as his patent royalty share on the vaccine.

He has served on the Advisory Committee for Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC. This committee recommends vaccines to the Mandatory Childhood Vaccine Schedule in all fifty states.
